As the Lead Product Designer, I led the end-to-end UX/UI design of the 'Eye Level Praise Account' — the flagship product within Daekyo and Shinhan Bank's Kids Virtual Bank platform. Targeting 1,000+ Noonopi Learning Center students, I transformed a 5-week study-habit challenge into a tangible, rewarding financial experience for the Alpha Generation, bridging EdTech and FinTech through a dual-interface design system.
Alpha Gen kids have high digital literacy but low financial patience — and traditional study incentives fail to sustain motivation. The core challenge was designing a financial product that closes the 'Motivation Gap' in self-directed learning: the interface needed to feel rewarding for children collecting stamps, while simultaneously giving parents a transparent, real-time view of their child's study progress and accumulated savings.
My strategy centered on a 'Dual-Interface Architecture' built around a unified design system. I mapped two distinct mental models: a high-feedback, stamp-driven interface for children and a data-driven oversight dashboard for parents. The 5-week challenge structure — combining a parent-funded Cheering Allowance (up to 5,000 KRW/week) and a mission-earned Eye Level Allowance (up to 10,000 KRW total) — became the core interaction loop I designed around. Gamification metaphors like stamps, progress trackers, and virtual savings jars were used to lower the cognitive barrier to financial concepts.

I designed the complete UI system from scratch for the Eye Level Praise Account — including a weekly mission dashboard, a physical-digital co-branded passbook (Daekyo × Shinhan Bank), and a virtual account ledger. Daily study missions at the learning center earn up to 4 stamps per day (100 KRW each), with parent deposits and mission rewards tracked in real-time online. At the end of 5 weeks, total accumulated savings are paid out in full. The component library features rounded, friendly geometry and a high-contrast palette built for young users, with a Shinhan Bank financial literacy module — delivered via 2 YouTube sessions — integrated into the broader experience.

Successfully launched to 1,000+ Noonopi Learning Center students, achieving strong retention through a gamified habit-loop that made study progress financially tangible. The project validated how high-fidelity UI design can bridge EdTech and FinTech — with weekly goal completion rates increasing 35% over traditional incentive methods. The Eye Level Praise Account served as the proof-of-concept for Daekyo and Shinhan Bank's broader Kids Bank platform.
